Emmanuelle Alt’s Essentials and Mini Emmanuelle around

Emmanuelle Alt is under the fashpeople’s magnifier lens right now. They’re expecting so much from her, she should deliver right away and without fault or hesitation the best Vogue Paris the world has ever seen. Waiting for Emmanuelle Alt’s editor – in – chief’s start to shine up on the fashion sky, here’s a little about her.
Her fashion picks, her style essentials, what makes Emmanuelle Alt’s fashpresence so impressive and blissfully classical at once. The High Heels she loves: Alaïa to wear to the shows. Her essential boots are Vivienne Westwood black suede pirate buckle boots and Martin Margiela beige suede Camarguaise boots for everyday wear. Her essential bags: Jimmy Choo black fringed bag and Louis Vuitton Speedy bag by Sofia Coppola. (click through for more secrets about Emmanuelle Alt’s essentials!)
Coats she can’t do without: Rick Owens big fur coat and Balmain jackets from any season. The Tees she loves: Balmain from any season, Uniqlo classic men’s t-shirt in the smallest size because it has a better fit but also Vintage because the cotton feels much softer. The Jeans she swears on Topshop Baxter jeans and J Brand flares or slim fit.
Emmanuelle‘s favorite sweaters: Prada classic cashmere sweater for its perfect fit and Ralph Lauren classic cable-knit round neck sweater. The Lingerie she loves: Petit Bateau classic white cotton panties, I’ve worn them for years and Stella McCartney days-of-the-week panties. She also loves her Cartier tank watch (gold with black crocodile-leather strap). And her Ray-Ban tortoiseshell aviator sunglasses.
Jewelry she can’t do without: Buccellati lace and diamonds. Her favorite gadget is an iPad ( travel essential for playing games on the plane), plus an iPod (for listening to music). Emmanuelle Alt loves to buy books at the airport, in any style depending on her mood. The perfume she wears: Prada Infusion de Fleur d’Oranger. ( photo Yara de Nicola) (via)

White out

Summer is the most difficult time of year to get dressed. It's hot, it's humid, and comfort is top priority. Let's be honest, Scott Schuman would not want to photograph us in our tank top and flip flops ensemble. So how do we make ourselves presentable? Cristina from Fuji Files here with your sartorial survival guide to hot summer days.

White is the coolest of colors for summer, literally! The color white reflects sunlight and heat more than any other color, making it your best option for keeping cool. But if the thought of an entirely white outfit is slightly terrifying (it certainly is for me!) then mix in some creams and nudes.

The key to this look is keeping it light and airy, not too structured. A loose collared shirt is an easy breezy choice for summer, pair it with textured shorts or skirt in a neutral shade and you've got instant style. Add a few accessories such as cute sandals and a tote, and you're done! An easy summer ensemble that is both cool and stylish.

Borrow your Boyfriens's Closet & Peronalize it

You heard correctly. If you are feeling the urge for some men's tailoring, not only on men, but on yourself, check out what men do and change it a bit. There are moments in which we would love to be masculine and drag look around with us. Just never thought about having it done properly. No more borrowing: men's tailoring is now accessible for women as well. The jackets, the suits, the brogues, the hats, what more? You most masculine flair. Fall Winter 2012 is about picking your side of the court or mixing the fields. We know women always say they have nothing to wear, well, we just thought extending their wardrobe choices to that of men might just work out perfectly. Here we go...

Make the sequins count and tiger prints loud. How to wear a man's suit with feminine appeal. Wild.

Cute short men short suit jackets and pants, mixing materials such as velvet and brocade. Velvet lapels are a must. My Lord.

Take the coat from a guy with very large shoulders and make it your own tune. Classic overcoats turn to disguise.
